MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

At MWC, we believe that working with a therapist should be straight-forward and confusion free. When you reach out, we are happy to answer any questions you may have, and work with you to establish how we can best help.

THERAPY AT MWC

The Mainspring Model of therapy relies solely on treatment that, supported by current research, is proven to be effective. Our approach includes various components of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). All clients will also have access to our client portal, making secure messaging available between sessions.

Progress in therapy is data-driven. In the beginning, we’ll establish clear treatment goals, allowing us to establish a baseline and work toward a specific mark. We track progress in several different ways, helping guide interventions and build on what works. Data will also show us when its time to reduce the frequency of sessions and, ultimately, successfully end therapy.

Our evidence-based, data driven approach provides the most effective treatment in NKY, leading to faster symptom relief, shorter treatment duration, and cost savings. We can work together in the following ways.

AFTER THERAPY

We don’t really like traditional definitions of the end of therapy. Our goal is not to simply solve the current problem and send you on your way. Instead, we hope to be an ongoing resource. By the end of treatment with MWC, we hope that the symptoms that brought you in have mostly gone away and you feel confident in the skills you’ve built. We know, however, that progress isn’t always linear. If things get a little unsteady after treatment, we always welcome refresher sessions.

We believe that reaching out to your therapist when you’re feeling overwhelmed should be as normal as going to the doctor when you have a sore throat.
