Mainspring Wellness Launches Neighborhood Wellness Stations to Support Mental Health in Everyday Spaces
Covington, KY — Mainspring Wellness, a neighborhood mental health practice serving Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati area, has launched Neighborhood Wellness Stations, a new community partnership initiative designed to make mental and emotional well-being more visible, approachable, and part of everyday life.
Neighborhood Wellness Stations are small, seasonal wellness baskets placed inside participating local businesses. Each station offers simple stress-relief tools and brief mental health reminders intended to create moments of pause and care in spaces where people already live, work, and gather.
“Our goal is to normalize mental health as part of overall wellness,” said Chris Morandi, Executive Director of Mainspring. “We’re used to thinking about exercise, nutrition, and sleep when we talk about health, but mental and emotional well-being often comes last. These stations are a gentle way to bring that conversation into everyday places without pressure or expectation.”
Local neighborhood partners play a central role in the initiative. By hosting a Wellness Station, businesses help reinforce the idea that caring for mental health is not reserved for moments of crisis, but is something that can be supported through small, consistent reminders woven into daily routines.
The stations rotate seasonally and are designed to be low-barrier, non-clinical, and accessible to anyone who encounters them. Participation does not require appointments, sign-ups, or engagement beyond taking a moment to pause.
“This initiative only works because of our neighborhood partners,” Morandi shared. “Their willingness to open their spaces helps make mental health feel more human, more local, and more connected to the communities we serve.”
Neighborhood Wellness Stations are currently active in select local businesses, with plans to continue expanding throughout the local community. Mainspring Wellness views the program as one of several ways to support community-wide emotional wellness beyond the therapy room.
No pressure. No expectations.
Just a gentle reminder, right in our neighborhood.
